The FTCE and FELE tests are Pass/Fail tests, so if you pass your test you will see "PASS" on your
score report. If you do not pass, you will receive a numerical score. To find out approximately what
percentage of test items you need to answer correctly to receive a "PASS" score for any test or subtest,
consult the chart on the Department of Education's postsecondary testing Web site,
http://www.fldoe.org/asp/ftce/pdf/percentpass.pdf.
Registering to Retake Tests or Subtests
- You must wait 31 calendar days before retaking a failed test; otherwise, your second score will
be invalidated. This rule applies to all computer-based and paper-and-pencil tests.
- Registering to retake a test requires the same procedures used for first-time registration.
- For the FELE and the General Knowledge Test, you need to retake only the subtests that you
did not pass.
- German K–12 and Speech 6–12 have two sections; you need to retake only the section that you
did not pass.
- For any other tests that you do not pass, you must retake the entire test.
- No extra testing time is given to examinees who are retaking a test or subtest.
