The test information guides, also known as test preparation guides or study guides, provide a general overview of each test and are not intended as all-inclusive sources of content knowledge, nor are they substitutes for college course work. The sample items are not an exact representation of the content of the actual test. The guides are intended to help candidates prepare for an examination by presenting an overview of the content and format of the examination.
Test information guides are available for the FTCE and FELE tests. FTCE guides are each approximately 30 pages in length and include a description of the test, a list of competencies and skills tested, and some sample test items.
The FELE test information guide is approximately 50 pages in length and includes a list of the competencies tested, an annotated bibliography, and five sample questions for each of the eight areas covered by the exam.
