What's New in 2009?

Computer-Based Testing

Most FTCE/FELE tests are available on computer. For a current list of CBT availability, see “Computer-Based Tests Currently Available." Please note that as part of the normal development process, some exams may be temporarily unavailable on computer.

Updated FELE

The Florida Educational Leadership Examination (FELE) has been updated. As of January 1, 2009, examinees will register for and take the new FELE. The three new subtests of the FELE are

The revised competencies and skills are available for review at www.fldoe.org/asp/fele. Examinees who took the previous version of the FELE, administered prior to January 2009, and passed only one or two of the three subtests will be required to take and pass the revised FELE in its entirety.

The updated FELE will initially be available only as a paper-based test.

Updated Test Fees

The FTCE/FELE program fees have been updated. See “Test Fees and Payment Policies” for a complete list of the new program fees and charges.

Score Verification Sessions Available at Sites Across Florida

Beginning in 2009, score verification sessions will be available weekdays and Saturdays at select computer-based testing centers in Florida. Online registration will open in the winter of 2008. For more information about score verification sessions, see "Requesting a Score Verification Session."
