Florida Educational Leadership Examination (FELE) 4.0 (084)
The Florida Educational Leadership Examination (FELE) consists of four subtests:
- Subtest 1: Foundational Policies & Practices of School Leadership
- Subtest 2: Leadership Practices for Student Learning
- Subtest 3: Leadership Development
- Subtest 4: Leadership Communication
Each subtest is separately timed and any unused time on one subtest cannot be used toward the other subtest. Once you complete a subtest and proceed to the next subtest, you cannot return to any previous subtest.

Registration Information
You may register to take any combination of subtests in one test session. You will be required to pass all four subtests in order to pass the FELE.

| Passing Score |
Subtest 1: A scaled score of at least 200 Subtest 2: A scaled score of at least 200 Subtest 3 (written performance): At least 4 out of 8 points Subtest 4 (written performance): At least 5 out of 8 points Examinees must pass all four subtests to pass this test. Notes: The total score for written performance assessments ranges from 2–8 score points: Two scorers for each response scoring on a rubric scale ranging from 1–4. FELE 4.0 passing scores were set based on linking of operational results from early 2026 to historical passing outcomes for FELE 3.0. These passing scores are effective for examinees taking the test during a transitional period for FELE 4.0. |

| Score Reporting |
On-site score reports for the multiple-choice-only subtests/sections are typically provided immediately after testing.
