The FELE consists of three subtests. You may register to take any combination of subtests in one test session.
Registration for the current FELE is open through December 30, 2013. This version of the test will no longer be administered after December 31, 2013. Examinees who do not pass all three subtests of the current FELE by this date will be required to take and pass the FELE 3.0 in its entirety beginning January 2014. For more information, refer to the Department of Education memorandum about the implementation of FELE 3.0.

|Format||Computer-based test (CBT);
Subtest 1: approximately 70 multiple-choice questions
Subtest 2: approximately 70 multiple-choice questions
Subtest 3: approximately 55 multiple-choice questions and essay component

Subtest 2: 2 hours
Subtest 3: 2 hours and 30 minutes
Examinees taking all 3 subtests will receive 30-minute breaks between subtests.
|Test Dates||By appointment, year round. You will schedule your test during registration, based on available dates.|
|Test Sites||CBT sites are located throughout Florida and nationwide. Locate a test center.|
|Passing Score||A scaled score of at least 200 per subtest; examinees must pass all 3 subtests to pass the FELE|

|Test Fee||First attempt: $215 (any combination of subtests)
Retake: $225 (any combination of subtests)
Unofficial scores for the multiple-choice-only subtests are provided immediately after testing; score reports are released within 4 weeks of testing.
Score reports for subtests with essay questions are released within 6 weeks of testing. Review information about score report dates.
